1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Velvet Dynamic collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. Velvet Dynamic is a privacy-first platform for kink and non-monogamous communities; we apply privacy-by-design principles throughout our architecture. By accepting these Terms and using Velvet Dynamic, you consent to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the information you provide during registration and profile creation — such as display name, date of birth, gender identity, location, relationship structure, kink entries, role matrices, and photos. We also collect usage data such as login times, interactions, and device identifiers needed to operate the service. Matching and AI features process your preferences to generate compatibility scores and prompts; this processing is governed by the visibility and AI-permission controls you set.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to provide and improve the platform: building your profile, computing matches, surfacing recommendations, powering AI conversation features, and protecting community safety through verification and moderation. Aggregated and anonymised activity patterns may be used to improve match quality. We do not sell your personal data. Your per-field visibility settings determine what other members can see.
4. Visibility Controls & Your Choices
Velvet Dynamic offers granular per-field visibility (public, verified-only, matches-only, hidden), discreet and panic modes, kink-level AI permission toggles, and global matching opt-outs. Shared Secrets, photo content flags, and profile-visibility tiers give you fine-grained control. Defaults are conservative: sensitive data is not exposed without an explicit opt-in.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your content is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access to your data is restricted by granular, per-field visibility controls — you decide exactly who sees what, at every level. Velvet never sells your data and never shares it with advertisers or data brokers; what you share reaches only the people you've chosen to share it with. Photos uploaded for verification are processed to confirm identity and are not displayed without your consent. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures and continue to harden the platform, but no system is perfectly secure; you accept the inherent risk of online data transmission.
7. Retention & Deletion
You can request account deletion at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent after a 7-day grace period, after which your profile, matches, messages, and content are removed. Certain records may be retained where required by law, for legitimate business records, or to address fraud and safety concerns. Cached compatibility data is recomputed or removed as your profile changes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly through in-app settings. For requests beyond what the app supports, contact Base44 support.
9. Children's Privacy
Velvet Dynamic is strictly for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will remove the account. Age verification is part of our onboarding and verification process.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app or at the next login. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. This document is a placeholder scaffold for production legal copy and should be reviewed and finalized by qualified counsel before public release.
